A A team of Civic Bank employees bowled to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee's "Bowl for Kids' Sake 2010 - The Big Bowl" The event, held Tuesday evening August 10 at Hillwood Strike & Spare, raised over $10,000 for the kids.
Civic Bank is now offering the 2010 high interest Christmas Club Account. In addition we have increased the deposit amount on the account to a $5,000 maximum. The bank will also hold a match contest next year, one lucky account owner will be rewarded with Civic Bank matching the balance in their Christmas Club account as of October 30, 2010 up to a maximum of $2,500 or $50 minimum. Civic Bank & Trust recently donated over one hundred "Trees in a Box" to the 3rd grade class at Eakin Elementary School for Arbor Day. Arbor Day is the first Friday of March in Tennessee.
Each student was given a box containing red maple seeds, a peat pot, growing medium, a booklet describing the tree, plant classification, tree anatomy with illustrations, and growing instructions.
The students at Eakin Elementary are active in gardening and composting.

Civic Bank & Trust employees volunteered their time in support of "Week of the Young Child" at Bethlehem Centers of Nashville. Employees enjoyed reading their old and new favorite books to the children. Several books, stickers and stuffed animals were donated to the centers during the week. We enjoyed stories about the beach, animals, helping others, ballerinas and several Dr. Seuss classics.
Civic Bank & Trust in cooperation with Richards & Richardssponsored a free shred day on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The free shred day was available to individuals and small businesses with no limit on the number of items accepted. Approximately 80 cars, trucks and loaded trailers dropped off documents for a total of 11,756 pounds of paper that has been securely shredded and will be recycled.
